Privacy notice

In short: this website sets no cookies, does not measure you and loads nothing from third parties. What still occurs is explained here. This is a courtesy translation — the German version is legally binding.

Principle of this website

This website is an information site with two forms — the appointment form and the setup questionnaire, both on the German site (more below). It sets no cookies, uses no tracking tools and — apart from the cookie-less measurement script of our hosting provider Cloudflare (see audience measurement below) — embeds no third-party content. Even the fonts are served from our own server, not by an external service — your IP address is not passed on to anyone in the process.

Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted as a static site with Cloudflare (Cloudflare Germany GmbH, Rosental 7, 80331 Munich, and Cloudflare, Inc., USA) via the Cloudflare Pages service. When you visit the site, the hosting provider processes technically necessary access data that your browser transmits automatically:

This processing is necessary to deliver the website technically and to ensure its secure, stable operation. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional and secure web presence). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Where data is transferred to the USA, this takes place on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Audience measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-less audience measurement by our hosting provider. When you open a page, your browser loads a small measurement script from Cloudflare that records aggregated values: the page viewed, country of origin, referring page and technical load times. No cookies are set, no identifiers are stored in your browser and no personal usage profiles are created; there is no cross-site tracking. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding which content is read). The data processing agreement with Cloudflare mentioned above applies; transfers to the USA are covered by the safeguards described there.

Contacting us

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process your details solely to handle your enquiry and for possible follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into, or the performance of, a contract) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding). We keep this data only as long as needed to handle the enquiry and delete it once no statutory retention duties stand in the way.

The appointment form

On the page “See it live” you can send us your name, e-mail address and, optionally, a phone number and message. Our own server receives these details and forwards them as an e-mail to [email protected] — no third-party form service is involved, and nothing is stored on the server. Afterwards your enquiry exists solely as an e-mail in our mailbox, which is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland); Switzerland is covered by an EU Commission adequacy decision.

To fend off automated spam submissions, the server limits the number of requests per IP address. For this purpose the IP address is held briefly in memory only and is not logged. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your enquiry). We delete the enquiry once it has been handled and no statutory retention duties stand in the way.

Setup questionnaire

On the German page “Fragebogen: Dein Assistent & deine Termine” (in German) you can send us details about your e-mail addresses, your calendar and your preferences ahead of the setup. We use these answers solely to set up your companion. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into, or the performance of, a contract). Your answers take the same route as the appointment form: our own server forwards them as an e-mail to [email protected], stores nothing in the process and involves no third-party form service. After that your details exist solely as an e-mail in our mailbox at Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland). Here, too, the server limits the number of submissions per IP address; the IP address is held briefly in memory only and is not logged. Instead of submitting, you can also print the questionnaire — then no detail leaves your computer. We delete the details once the setup is complete and no statutory retention duties stand in the way.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, simply contact us using the details above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin), which is the authority responsible for us.

No automated decision-making

No profiling and no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place on this website.
